Dust Food
In 2325 population feed themselves with many nutriment types.
Food pills are sometimes used to save time and place.
But more appreciated is dust food, very dense powders or plates which need to be hydrated and augmented in 'air' (and emptiness) to gain volume, a process which is often called “undusting”.
Undusting gives often a 100 times more volume.
Some people still now how to cook from very expensive meat, fish and plants, of course, but this skill is known to be rare.
Only rare people such as hardcore survivors (such as Triskan Survivors) know how to kill and cook wildlife, though some colonists have developed some skills in emergency.
