Collecting Resources is a process mostly done by Away Teams in a colony.

Away Teams have a mission and a destination.

They also benefit from their team specialization and member roles to better locate and collect resources such as food items, ore, minerals and to capture wildlife and plantlife.

Once they come back to the colony, their findings are added to the colony's permanent storage.
